Paritua Stone Paddock Syrah 2024 is crafted by Paritua Wines in Hawke’s Bay, sourced from the Stone Paddock vineyard where warm days and free-draining soils favour ripeness and spice. This is an elegant and expressive Syrah, opening with aromas of dark plum, black cherry and blueberry, layered with cracked pepper, violet and subtle savoury notes. The palate is medium bodied and finely structured, showing supple tannins, fresh acidity and excellent balance. Dark fruit flavours are complemented by gentle oak, savoury complexity and a quiet mineral thread that carries through the finish. The style is poised rather than powerful, allowing varietal perfume and vineyard character to shine. The 2024 vintage has received 93 points from Bob Campbell MW, highlighting its clarity and finesse. Paritua Stone Paddock Syrah is drinking beautifully on release and will continue to evolve gracefully over the next four to six years.

About Paritua Wines

Our vineyard is in the heart of the acclaimed Bridge Pa Triangle wine region of Hawke’s Bay, on New Zealand’s North Island. The site is all gravel soils and gentle contours, surrounded by hills and blessed with long, lingering summers and clear, crisp winters… exceptional conditions to create exceptional wines.

The name Paritua is a tribute to the Paritua Stream, which meanders gently through the vineyard. Paritua means the meandering stream above the ancient river. The vineyard is planted over the historical riverbed of the nearby Ngaruroro River which flowed through pre the 1860s earthquake. It is a name that also acknowledges the connection with the land and the people of New Zealand.

Wines bearing our boutique label Paritua are produced only in outstanding vintages, whilst our Stone Paddock selection of wines are made every year. Every bottle of Paritua wine comes from grapes grown on this special, single vineyard, organically farmed site.
