House of Arras is Australia’s most celebrated sparkling wine producer, founded in Tasmania and internationally recognised for its uncompromising focus on traditional method sparkling wines of exceptional finesse and longevity. Established by master winemaker Ed Carr, the House of Arras has become synonymous with precision, patience and an unwavering commitment to quality.
Fruit is sourced from Tasmania’s finest cool-climate vineyards, where long growing seasons, low yields and naturally high acidity provide the ideal foundation for sparkling wine. Chardonnay and Pinot Noir form the backbone of the range, selected from individual vineyards and parcels to build complexity and structure through blending.
Bright, medium yellow colour. Very fresh and very complex, a delicious wine of great flavour, softness and balance.

While the wine has had 6 years on yeast lees, and the flavours are correspondingly rich, there is also an exuberant freshness to the marriage of white flowers, white peach, nectarine, brioche and honey before the cleansing acidity of the long finish swings into action.

The Hancocks name traces its origins back to 1859 when Thomas Hancock purchased the Captain Cook Inn in Khyber Pass Road Newmarket. Hancocks originally started life as a brewer and publican.
The company went through many changes in its first 100 years, including the manufacture and distribution of spirits. Over the course of years the company changed names several times with the core of the company being the basis of what we now know as Lion.
