About Pewsey Vale Wines
With an average altitude of nearly 500 metres, Pewsey Vale Vineyard sits 250 metres above the Barossa Valley floor. The resultant cooler temperatures encourage a longer ripening period that is essential for producing superior Riesling grapes. All plantings at Pewsey Vale Vineyard are propagated from the original 1847 vines.
I’ve mentioned before that when I lived in the Eden Valley we referred to this wine as ‘Eden Valley San Pellegrino’, such was its constant presence in the fridge for rehydration purposes. It’s just a consistently cracking drink, with classic regional characters of Bickford’s lime cordial, green apple, Christmas lily, crushed stone and white flowers. Crisp, dry, sleek in its travel and great drinking as always.” Drink 2024 – 2036
