Description
Greystone Chardonnay 2024 blends two Omihi vineyard blocks: lower-slope clay brings richness and fruit weight, while higher limestone adds freshness and length. The fruit was hand-picked and processed without additives; limestone parcels were whole-bunch pressed and clay parcels foot-crushed before natural fermentation in French oak barriques. After ten months in oak, the wine was bottled without fining. Expect ripe peach, white nectarine, citrus and crushed stone, with gentle toasted-nut and spice notes, fine acidity and a long, mineral finish. Dave Brookes of Halliday Wine Companion awarded the 2024 vintage 95 points.
