Fromm Chardonnay 2022, from Fromm Winery in Marlborough, New Zealand, offers a refined, mineral-driven expression of Chardonnay. The nose presents delicate white peach, nectarine and citrus blossom with subtle notes of toasted almond, hay and flint-like minerality. On the palate the wine delivers a core of just-ripe pear and white nectarine, a touch of apple-skin grip and crisp, balanced acidity that gives fresh poise and fine texture. The wine shows a restrained use of oak and a subtle lees-derived complexity, resulting in a wine of elegance and clarity. Some critics have awarded the 2022 vintage 94 points. Fromm Chardonnay 2022 is graceful and versatile, ideal with grilled seafood, soft cheeses or creamy pasta. ABV 13.5 percent, screw-cap closure.

“A fine and elegant bouquet with a core of place from vineyard mineral scents and ripe orchard fruits to a combination of lees
and peach, chalk and apple, grapefruit and nut. Taut, youthful, crisp, dry and textured. Flavours reflect the bouquet with
acidity accentuating the citrus flavours and tension from fine tannins. The mineral theme is persistent with a raw cashew nut
and gentle spice quality from ageing in barrel. A lovely example that needs a place in your cellar with best drinking from late
2024 or early 2025 through 2030+.”
