About Chateau De La Vieille Tour Wines
Château de la Vieille Tour is a family-owned estate located in the heart of Provence, where tradition, patience and respect for the land define both vineyard and wine. Rooted in a long history of farming, the estate takes its name from an ancient watchtower that still overlooks the vineyards, a reminder of the area’s deep agricultural heritage and enduring connection to the Provençal landscape.
The vineyards are planted across gently sloping sites influenced by the Mediterranean climate, where warm, sunlit days are moderated by cooling breezes that help preserve freshness and aromatic clarity. This balance allows the grapes to ripen slowly and evenly, producing wines of natural harmony rather than excess. The estate cultivates the classic grape varieties of Provence, including Grenache, Cinsault, Mourvèdre and Rolle, chosen for their strong adaptation to local conditions and their ability to express the region’s character with precision.
Farming is carried out with great care and restraint, prioritising soil health and biodiversity while limiting intervention wherever possible. In the cellar, vinification focuses on purity, with gentle extraction and carefully controlled temperatures to respect fruit expression and finesse. Wines are raised primarily in stainless steel, with selective use of oak where texture or structure calls for it.
Château de la Vieille Tour produces sincere, elegant wines that speak clearly of Provence, combining freshness, balance and quiet complexity. It is a classical estate guided by modern sensitivity, and one that continues to refine its voice with each passing vintage.
