“The 2024 release from Catalina Sounds is the payoff of a dramatic growing season—low yields, pristine fruit, and Marlborough’s driest summer in nearly a century. With just a sprint of a harvest in March, winemaker Peter Jackson captured the best of each site across Waihopai and the Southern Valleys, delivering a Sauvignon Blanc that’s both sharply defined and texturally rewarding.

This vintage leans into its place—cool nights, mineral-rich soils, and hand-tended blocks, many farmed by long-term grower partners. The result is a wine that hums with preserved lemon, candy apple, wet stone, and stone fruit, while a saline thread and lees contact bring depth and line. It’s mouthwatering, modern Marlborough at its finest—clean, bright, and built for food.
