Dark purples and ruby appearance with a pink rim lead to a bouquet of ripeness, concentration and power. Aromas of freshly crushed red berries and blackcurrant, layers of wood spice and wood smoke, clove and new leather. A bouquet that is also peppered with violets and stone dust mineral complexity. Firm, dry, taut and concentrated on the palate, some sweetness from oak and abv resting within core fruit flavours that mirror the bouquet. Delicious, lengthy and ageing well with best drinking from late 20206 through 2031+.
