Description
The Signature is Yalumba’s classic Barossa blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz. The 2023 release is made from 55% Cabernet Sauvignon and 45% Shiraz, sourced from six Barossa vineyards. Slow, steady ripening in a cool, mild season helped preserve fruit purity and natural acidity. Aromas of blackcurrant, dark chocolate, black cherry and olive tapenade open to floral notes, sage and liquorice. The palate layers coffee, blue fruit and spice over long, mineral tannins. Matured for 19 months in French and Hungarian oak, including 22% new oak. A polished, structured Barossa red with excellent cellaring potential.
Deep blackberry, plum and black cherry lead into cedar, tobacco and savoury spice. The palate is composed, with fine-grained tannins and bright acidity carrying a long finish. (Paraphrased from Dave Brookes, Halliday Wine Companion.)

Blackberry, tobacco leaf, graphite and violet lead into cedar and anise, with firm, integrated tannins and a precise, persistent finish. (Paraphrased from Stuart Knox, The Real Review.)

A warm, mouth-filling style balances blackberry, cassis, mint, black pepper and toasted cocoa with freshness. Young and primary now, it is expected to gain complexity with cellaring. (Paraphrased from Christina Pickard, Wine Enthusiast.)
