About Pewsey Vale Wines
With an average altitude of nearly 500 metres, Pewsey Vale Vineyard sits 250 metres above the Barossa Valley floor. The resultant cooler temperatures encourage a longer ripening period that is essential for producing superior Riesling grapes. All plantings at Pewsey Vale Vineyard are propagated from the original 1847 vines.
Released after seven years in bottle. Delicate yet complex aromas of finger limes, grapefruit, kerosine, sage oil, preserved lemons, gun smoke and salted nuts. The palate is high tension, with an intense concentration of flavors that are coiled around a textural palate and striking acidity. Made from vines planted in 1965, this has years of life ahead in the bottle. Excellent. Drink or hold.
