About Pol Roger Wines
Pol Roger is one of Champagne’s most respected family-owned houses, founded in 1849 and still based in Épernay. Renowned for its precision, longevity and quietly confident style, Pol Roger has long been regarded as a benchmark for classic Champagne, balancing finesse with depth and structure. The house is famously associated with Sir Winston Churchill, whose admiration for Pol Roger helped cement its international reputation.
Pol Roger sources grapes from an exceptional network of Premier and Grand Cru vineyards across Champagne, with a strong focus on Pinot Noir and Chardonnay supported by Pinot Meunier. The house is particularly celebrated for its meticulous blending, extensive reserve wine program and long ageing on lees, all of which contribute to the wine’s signature purity and complexity.
In the cellar, fermentations are carried out in temperature-controlled stainless steel to preserve freshness, followed by prolonged maturation in Pol Roger’s deep, cool chalk cellars. This patient approach results in Champagnes that are refined, harmonious and capable of graceful ageing.
Pol Roger wines are defined by elegance, balance and consistency, offering a timeless expression of Champagne that continues to be admired by collectors and lovers of classic sparkling wine worldwide.
