Rockbare The Clare Valley Riesling 2024 is crafted by Rockbare Wines in South Australia’s Clare Valley, a region celebrated for producing Riesling of clarity, drive and longevity. This is a precise and vibrant style, opening with aromas of lime zest, lemon blossom and green apple, lifted by subtle hints of talc and wet stone. The palate is light to medium bodied and tightly focused, showing pure citrus flavours edged by brisk acidity and a pronounced mineral line that brings tension and length. The mouthfeel is clean and dry, with a fine chalky texture through the finish. The style favours line and precision over weight, allowing regional character to shine. Fermented in stainless steel at a nice cool temperature. Left on yeast lees, and stirred often over four months to build texture on the palate. Very pale lemon colour. Lime blossom and papaya aromatics. Light and fresh tropical fruits with a splash of lime-juice sit at the core, saline notes add depth while racy acidity keeps it ultra bright and fresh to the finish. (Screwcap)

From where vines meet the sea in McLaren Vale, to the fertile red soils of Clare Valley and beyond, we work directly with family-owned vineyards and growers to produce our award-winning wines. Many have been part of the RockBare journey since we took our first steps 20 years ago. Our first wine – a Shiraz from a vineyard near Port Willunga where rugged rocks flank the shore – was the inspiration behind our name.

We live in the birthplace of Australian wine. The first plantings in South Australia were more than 150 years ago and the region remains one of the most diverse in the world. The best areas in the state have built their reputations around specific varieties. Each varies to suit the climates and unique soils of each.
