A wine that only comes along in the right years. 100% whole bunch inclusion, from the best part of the Three Wishes Vineyard that was planted in 1999. This is indeed a component of the dog & wolf, the bunchy part, and when balance is pitch perfect-fruit purity and power with savoury tannin and spice, a small amount is bottled separately under this label.

It is left to mature in the bottle and the cellar until it feels right, these styles can be shy when young and take time to evolve. Earth and spice, red fleshy fruits, long flavour, structure and mouthfeel. We are just now making this quietly available via cellar door (Havilah Wine) and our webstore.

About Two Tonne Tasmania

2022 marks the 10th anniversary of the TMV Pinot Noir, what a milestone! Beginning just south of Launceston, the Tamar Valley winds 50km north to its meeting point with the powerful Bass Strait. Produced from a range of different sites, the intent of this wine is to reflect what the TTT team believes are the standout characteristics of the Tamar Valley subregion.

The home farm contributed a large portion of fruit to this year’s blend (about 50%), with regulars Jinglers Creek and Evandale making up the balance. It got 10% whole-bunch and spent 10 months in barriques (with only a touch of new wood).
