Pinot Blanc is the white mutation grape of Pinot Noir and is an elegant, aromatic variety made in a dry style. Selected from a single vineyard a stone’s throw from the founding Delta Vineyard alongside the Waihopai River.
The vineyard lies on soils with a clay underlay, and free-draining river stones on the surface. A maritime influence with hot days and cool nights plays an important role in maintaining the acidity and fresh fruit characteristics within the grapes.

The 2018 vintage started with cool spring weather, which extended the length of flowering, leading to to open bunches with reduced potential for disease pressure during the early autumn rains.
Our signature Delta wines encapsulate expressions of the terroir and enhance the unique elements that our vineyards offer. With careful winemaking and the unique combination of sub-climates and soils, the Delta range wines are elegant and vibrant, providing exceptional flavours whilst still being stylistically approachable and supple. Excellent for food matching or can be enjoyed on their own for any occasion.
