About Black Barn Vineyards Wines
The Black Barn Vineyards lie on the warm north-facing slopes of the Havelock Hills in Hawke’s Bay. The clay-based soils of this area have been producing wines of renown for over a hundred years.
Estate grown, dry-farmed, and selective picking ensure optimum quality and ripeness. Focusing on small volume wines of exceptional quality, our artisan winemaking philosophy produces wines of depth, character, and cellaring ability, which have been rewarded with a string of accolades.
Our annual wine production is limited to 7000 cases by vineyard area and vintage viability. We are at the forefront of alternative varieties in New Zealand, including Tempranillo, Montepulciano, and Sangiovese. Our premium single vineyard releases are benchmark wines for Hawke’s Bay and New Zealand.
